Chicken is actually good. It cooks quickly and I've never viewed one soul that would not eat it. I guess you will discover such folks. There is always an individual who dislikes fish, turnips (me), asparagus, parsnips (me), and artichokes. But We have never met a rooster hater.

As good as the chicken is definitely, it can be made better by simply marinating the critter. I love to start with a dead chicken however you farm folks do include your preferences. I go to the butcher shop and I say, "Give us a dead chicken, not one of the people blocks of ice--a recently killed critter. "

Almost always there is someone around when I look for that dead bird. That they laugh because I chose a dead chicken. Well, I simply don't like to take chances. The butcher might think that "fresh" means "alive.  "He may move to one of the Mennonite ladies that frequent their grocer and give a nod. Another minute I'd have a live bird on my hands.

When I was a kid, each of our neighbors had chickens. Thus did my uncle in the little place where he increased lots of kids, chickens, a new milk cow, and lifted a calf every year. I recall how a chicken was well prepared in those days. You took poor people bird and chopped away its head. It then will flutter around on the ground spurting blood from hell to breakfast.

That was not appealing to me. I had a friend that worked in a poultry handling plant. The chickens had been hung from a string conveyor. When a bird has to my friend he would take this incredibly sharp knife, grab the bird by the head, and cut its juggler train of thought. That is if chickens own a juggler's vein. In the event not, it still spurted blood as it went down the queue, was dunked into scalding water, de-feathered, gutted, and declared "ready to make. "

I was with my pal one day when he was eradicating a couple of his own wild birds out in his back yard. Now, the subject if you happen to forget, is the marination of any dead chicken. I like to get the taste in my chicken by cooking food a whole dead chicken in chicken broth (I no longer trust the chicken to supply it), adding spices, and letting the bird make meals until the meat falls off of the bones. I like chicken and noodles and chicken and dumplings so I often put the chicken to soups. Typically, I would start with the chicken broth, or in the event I'm squeamish, new broth, add carrots and a great onion and a garlic clove followed by adding Country Noodles.

If I want dumplings, I recently take a can of statuette dough out of my own refrigerator and drop items of dough on top of the cooking food soup, let them boil to get a minute or two, close the top, and wait about 20 or so minutes for the dumplings to cook.

Now have a tendency open that lid and enable all of the steam out. I love to read books by Whilst Gary Jennings. Gary was raised in New Jersey and his one goal in life was to write. This individual, like me, preferred self-education over the institutional kind.

Gary passed away and I am unable to look forward to his next narrative. Therefore I read the old kinds over and over again.

Right now I am reading his historical work of fiction about Marco Polo. It is The Journeyer. That's wherever I learned about marinating fowl in pomegranate juice. It really so happens that my family and I live on the juice. We drink attics, or you might claim juice-o-attics. We go to Cosco® and stock up. There are usually for least twenty gallons of juice out in our carport.

Recently we bought several pomegranate juices which were marginally laced with Açaí drink. Marco Polo said that in Persia, he had chicken grilled in pomegranate juice. That sounded good to me.

This is my recipe:

Pomegranate Chicken Soup

Go to your grocer and ask for a fresh deceased chicken. Boil the bird in pomegranate juice before the meat comes off the bone tissues or can be easily taken out. As you remove the meat, you might like to spoon over it some of the drink that is left in the weed. You may as well get just about every ounce of flavor you may.

At this point I was hungry. My spouse and I made a couple of sandwiches together with the chicken. The very next day the chicken had contacted a marvelous level of flavor. I don't know why when you boil something for a couple of time it still tastes better the very next day, but it does.

This will take approximately five (5) minutes for making. Take a can of celery and pour the pumpkin and the water used in the canning process into a baking pan. Add one can of creamed soup.

You can use the soups that I did, but it is not going to change the flavor that much. I just used cheese broccoli. I used to be too lazy to go out inside the garage for a can of creamed celery soup.

Drop the marinated chicken in the soup and you are finished.
